Pair of Large 17th.c. Style Armchairs c.1930

Splendid pair of large 17th.c. style open armchairs c.1930. High shaped and padded backrests and generous sprung seats upholstered in woven tapestry, each panel featuring a different design of exotic and mythical birds and beats amongst exuberant foliage. Beech frames featuring long arms with carved acanthus detail raised on turned supports. Turned and block legs and stretchers. The front legs joined with an elaborately carved and pierced front stretcher and raised on large carved paw feet. Very good condition, clean and serviceable covers, frames cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
