Welsh Oak Kitchen Cupboard c.1820
Early 19th.c. Welsh oak kitchen cupboard c.1820. Essentially the same design as the classic Cwpwrdd Bara Caws or bread and cheese cupboard but with solid rather than vented door panels. Built in two sections. Two door cupboard top fitted with two shelves (internal depth 15½"). On a cupboard base with a half depth shelf inside and two drawers at the waist. Moulded cornice, turned wooden knobs and inlaid bone escutcheons. Shaped bracket feet at the front. With some previous restorations, the doors have been fitted with small ball catches and have replacement knobs, and the interior has been later overpainted. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
