Welsh Oak Tack Cupboard c.1820
Early 19th.c. North Wales oak cloak or tack cupboard c.1820. Two door cupboard top (internal depth 16½") fitted inside with 24 wooden hooks for hanging coats etc. Separate base with two short and one long drawer (the top row of drawers being dummy fronts allowing extra hanging length inside the top). Moulded cornice over a mahogany crossbanded frieze at the front with an inlaid panel at the centre and inlaid stringing. Flat panels to the doors and the fixed centre, within moulded surrounds. Original brass knobs and escutcheons to the doors and drawers. Moulded trim along the bottom edge at the front and tall bracket front feet. Deal panelled sides and back. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
