Pair of Carved Oak Hall Chairs c.1850.

Fine pair of mid 19th.c. oak hall chairs c.1850. In pale solid oak throughout, with attractively carved and pierced backrests shaped as a Classical shield cartouche with lovely scroll detail to the tops and sides. Over board seats with shaped edges. Raised on octagonal baluster front legs. Very good original condition.
