Syrian Pearl Inlaid Window Seat c.1920

Unusual little Syrian window seat or stool c.1920. Walnut frame with raised ends with mashrabiya panels, stained and inlaid with mother of pearl. Over a sprung seat (height 15½") freshly upholstered a pale fabric with stylized flower heads. Shaped apron to all four sides below the seat with rows of finely turned spindles. Alternate polished and stained block detail to the frame and legs. Raised on turned feet. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
