Primitive Welsh Stick Chair c.1800

Charming little early 19th.c. Welsh stick chair c.1800. Curved top rail and spindles in ash. Over a single piece seat (height 14½") and splayed legs held with wedged tenons believed to be in sycamore or fruitwood. Great rustic character with traces of old paintwork and a lovely patina. Good condition, solid and sturdy. Wood worm holes have been checked and treated. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
