Art Deco Sculpture of a Seabird in Flight c.1930

Splendid Art Deco era sculpture of a seabird flying low over the sea c.1930. Cleverly cantilevered to give the impression of flight. Cast in spelter with excellent detail to the feathers and with the original paint finish. Clearly signed J. Loriot in the cast on the front right hand corner. On a polished black slate plinth (23" x 6¼"). Some wear to the paintwork on the sea, otherwise excellent original condition. Bird and wave separate for transport.
