Pair of Italian Marquetry Inlaid Side Tables c.1930

Beautiful pair of Italian marquetry inlaid side tables or bedsides c.1930. Two drawer cabinets veneered in rosewood and inlaid with superb quality Classical style marquetry decoration of scrolling foliate forms across the tops, drawer front and sides. Set within crossbanded satinwood and boxwood strung borders. Note the vase and flower decoration to the uprights flanking the drawer fronts. Raised on square tapering legs also marquetry inlaid. Original patterned brass knobs and maker's labels for Mobili IMEA of La Spezia on the Ligurian coast. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
