Small Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Side Table c.1900

Charming little Arts & Crafts or Liberty style oak side table c.1900. 22" x 16" top over a shaped apron and raised on square stiles, flaring slightly as they descend and set at a pronounced angle (note the bearer underneath the table top to provide extra support for top). Joining the apron to the side stretchers are vertical elements pierced with a distinctive spade, heart or flower head motif. The legs are joined with slim stretcher shelf. No maker's marks though the design is attributed to E.A Taylor for the Glasgow firm of Wylie & Lockhead. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
