Pair of Arts & Crafts Copper Fire Dogs c.1900

Beautiful pair of Arts & Crafts movement ornamental repoussé copper fire dogs c.1900. Pointed spade shaped bodies in beaten copper with a lovely Art Nouveau inspired flower or seed head motif in the Glasgow School style to the front. Wrought iron outer edge continued to the floor to form out-swept feet. Matching rear leg shaped to form a small support for a poker. Presented as found in very good condition, original through.
