Oak Welsh Dresser Base c.1820

Early 19th Welsh oak dresser base c.1820. Three plank top with rounded edges and an applied moulding below. Over three drawers and two cupboards, the middle row of drawers being dummy fronts with a fixed partition behind. Solid oak drawer and door fronts with mahogany cockbeading and original brass knobs and attractively patterned escutcheons. Note also the unusual bobbin turned mouldings to the door panels also continued along the bottom edge of the front of the dresser. Shaped bracket feet to the front. Deal panelled sides and rear. Some old marks to the top and damage to a few of the brass knobs. Repair to one of the rear stiles. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
