Mahogany Hall Stand c.1860

Superb mid 19th.c. mahogany hall stand c.1860. Ten large turned pegs for hats and coats etc. Arranged across the central column and four elaborately shaped and pierced branches with unusual little turned droppers. Over the original white marble table top with a moulded edge, raised on carved legs with scrolling detail. Flanked on both sides with curving stays for sticks and umbrellas, with removable metal drip trays either side of an open display shelf. Crossbanded plinth raised on turned bun feet. With an old repair to the tip of one branch, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
