Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table c.1860
Mid 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1860. Original 38″ diameter grey marble top, spectacularly figured and with the edge moulded with a border of concentric rings designed to stop spilt liquids from running over the sides. With a slim mahogany veneered apron and raised on a hexagonal baluster form pedestal and tripod base with flame mahogany veneers and small carved claw feet with the original wooden castors below. Some minor wear and scratches to the surface of the marble and some small chips from the edges. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
