Large Rosewood Breakfast Table c.1835

Superb William IV rosewood breakfast dining table c.1835. Circular 54″ diameter top, a little larger than most we see, big enough to comfortably seat six people. With highly figured rosewood veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern laid onto solid mahogany groundwork. Moulded and crossbanded edge with a slim apron below. Unusual tapering rosewood column pedestal with a shaped and segmented collar over the circular plinth. Raised on four splendid carved claw feet with the original brass castors below. Top can be tipped to vertical when not in use, locking into position with the original sprung catch. A few minor blemishes to the top. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Top and base can be separated for delivery.
