Set of Eight Mahogany Dining Chairs c.1860

Good quality set of eight mid 19th.c. mahogany dining chairs c.1860. Six chairs plus two matching carver armchairs. Slightly curved solid mahogany backrests with rounded edges over a simple moulded back stretcher. Graceful curving arms to the carvers with lovely scrolling terminals. Loose seat pads (height 17½") upholstered in a red and gold flatweave fabric. Raised on crisply turned front legs, the back legs swept outwards for stability. Very good colour and condition with clean covers. Frames have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
