Ash & Elm Windsor Chair c.1820

Delightful little early 19th.c. ash and elm stick back Windsor chair c.1820. Steamed top rail and arms holding simple stick spindles, with turned front supports to the arms. Over the single piece seat (height 17½") made from a thick elm board with chamfered lower edge. Raised on turned legs, splayed for stability and joined with a curved 'crinoline' stretcher. Excellent colour and condition with a lovely patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
