17th.c. Oak Refectory Table with Inlaid Frieze

Beautiful 17th.c. oak refectory dining table. 78½" x 34" top made from four 1¼" thick oak boards joined with cleated ends. The top sits loose on the base which features a fabulous geometric inlaid frieze in dark bog oak and contrasting timbers along the top rail on one side. Moulded detail along the bottom edge which is repeated on the other plain side, shaped detail to the end rails. Good turned and carved legs with chamfered corners to the blocks top and bottom. Joined with thick stretchers at floor level. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
