French Empire Daybed c.1820
Splendid early 19th.c. French Empire daybed c.1820. Raised ends with rollover tops veneered in flame mahogany and fronts carved with a fine pair of Classical style dolphins. Flame mahogany veneers to the front and sides of the base. Carved brackets where the front joins the ends. Sprung bed base (69" x 28", height 14") in a pale striped ticking. The base sits loose in the frame and could be easily replaced. Wooden castors in the feet allowing the bed to be rolled away from the wall. Very good colour and condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
