Country House Kitchen Dresser c.1870

Fabulous late 19th.c. country house scrub top kitchen dresser with drawers c.1870. Very nearly 9 feet long with a remarkable 2" thick sycamore worktop with cleated sides. Pine base with six large drawers, internal dimensions 29" x 22" x 7". Carved corbels to the corners at the front and sides. panelled sides with moulded surrounds. Note the cutaways to the plinth to allow three people to stand at the dresser when working. Later campaign style brass handles and overpainting. Some minor wear, generally very good condition with smooth running drawers. Cleaned and restored in our workshops.
