Bentwood Double Bed c.1920

Unusual early 20th.c. bentwood double bed c.1920. Matching design to the head and foot ends (the head being slightly taller) with lovely scrolling bentwood forms plus a carved detail at the centre, within shaped and moulded cresting rails. Over mahogany veneered lower panels with a turned roundel at the centre on the foot end. Side rails also with mahogany veneered panels. Raised on turned feet front and rear. Internal dimensions 79" x 55½", a standard double bed would fit inside the frame. Or a 60" x 78" kingsize double could sit across the rails with a slight overhang at the sides (please enquire if you would like supporting stats fitting). Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
