Faux Bamboo Wardrobe c.1890

Late 19th.c. French faux bamboo wardrobe c.1890. Single door wardrobe with a full length dressing mirror to the door. Fitted inside with three adjustable shelves (internal depth 14"), and with a single drawer in the base. In pine with extensive applied beechwood decoration, turned and carved to resemble bamboo. Triangular raised pediment flanked with large turned finials. Bamboo style column pilasters to the front corners continuing to the feet. Bamboo style mouldings around the mirror and the door, continued on the wardrobe sides, the drawer front and at the bottom edge. Oak lining to the wardrobe interior and the drawer, note also the polished birch veneer on the back of the door. Some tarnish to the mirror, though still perfectly useable Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
Please note this wardrobe must be secured to the wall when in use.
