Faux Bamboo Double Bed c.1890

Late 19th.c. French faux bamboo double bed c.1890. In pine with applied beechwood decoration turned to imitate bamboo. Max internal dimensions (mattress size) 58" x 76". Straight head and footboards with turned finials to both. Extensive bamboo style mouldings continued on the side rails. Original wooden castors (running sideways only) hidden in the feet. A few chips from the edges of the finials, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Dismantles for delivery.
