Arts & Crafts Writing Table c.1880

Late 19th.c. walnut writing table of unusual Arts & Crafts inspired design c.1880. Solid walnut top with canted corners, crisp moulded edge and shallow apron. Raised on shaped supports pierced with Gothic trefoil shaped cutaways, acanthus carving and moulded edges. Joined with a bobbin turned stretcher set at mid level so the table can be easily sat at and used as a desk. Carved acanthus detail to the feet front and rear and raised on the original black ceramic castors. Very good original colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
