Arts & Crafts Oak Armchair c.1910

Arts & Crafts style oak armchair c.1910. Tall backrest featuring an arched top over an Art Nouveau inspired carved flower head (or peacock feather?) motif, the stem running the length of the centre spindle and terminating on the shaped stretcher below. Straight arms with shaped ends over a lift out seat pad recently upholstered in a soft brown suede type fabric. Raised on square front stiles, tapering at the top and bottom with a flared foot. Joined with stretchers to the front and sides for strength. Good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Clean and serviceable upholstery.
