Oak Welsh Dresser Base c.1760

Good example of a late 18th.c. North Wales cupboard dresser base c.1760. Three plank top with rounded edges and an applied thumb moulding to the underside. With a row of three drawers over a central bank of three drawers of graduated height flanked with cupboards on each site (internal depth 18"). Scratch carved detail to the edges of the drawer fronts and original brass swan neck handles. Raised and fielded door panels within a crisp moulded surround. Original applied moulding to the bottom edge. Good early timbers with oak panelled sides, heavy oak drawer linings, back and floor boards. Traces of old Welsh newsprint on the back with addresses around Llanrwst in the Conwy valley. Excellent condition with particularly good colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
