Welsh Oak Tack Cupboard c.1820
Early 19th.c. oak cloak or tack cupboard, North Wales (possibly Anglesey) c.1820. Two door cupboard top (internal depth 16″) fitted inside with 18 wooden hooks. Over a separate base with two short and one long drawer in the base (the top three drawers being dummy fronts allowing extra hanging length inside the top). Moulded cornice over panelled doors with a simple inlaid detail across the upper corners of the door panels. Working lock to the right hand door and a lovely wooden catch to the left. Solid oak drawer fronts with quality brass knobs, applied moulding to the bottom edge below the drawers. Deal panelled sides and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
