Large Framed Watercolour Painting of a Saint dated 1946

Remarkable large framed watercolour of a Saint dated 1946. A bearded monk or priest with a tonsure and dressed in fine coloured robes receives a heavenly vision of the Holy trinity surrounded by winged cherubs. As a halo glows around his own head he inscribes the word of God onto the pages of a book with a white feather quill. Finely painted in watercolour on paper. Signed Don Bruno O.S.B (Order of Saint Benedict) and dated 1946. Presented as found behind glass in a carved and gilded frame with a worn gilded finish. Very good condition.
