Walnut & Giltwood Bombe Commode c.1900

Beautiful walnut and giltwood bombe commode or chest of drawers c.1900. Walnut veneered and crossbanded top with a serpentine shaped, moulded and gilded edge. Over a chest of three oak lined drawers with pronounced bombe shape, also veneered and crossbanded and with decorative brass handles and gilded floral carved detail and mouldings. Raised on an unusual carved and pierced giltwood apron and legs at the front and sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
