Pair of Large Spelter Figures c.1930
Superb pair of large spelter figures c.1930. Standing very nearly three feet tall. Very well cast as a pair of finely dressed young men in medieval costume, both in flumed hats carrying draped capes and with leather bags and short daggers at their sides. In celebration of the hunt one man holds a hawk whilst at his feet lay dead game and waterbirds amongst oak branches. The other holds a fish with more fish and an eel amongst water plants by his feet. On 12" diameter turned wooden bases. Damage to the tip of the beak of the bird at the base of the hawker and missing one of the hanging tassels from the bag of the fisherman. Otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
