Printed Tapestry Panel of The Grape Harvest

Large French tapestry panel after the 15th.c. original, known as Les Vendages (The harvest), found in the collection of the Museé de Cluny in Paris. Measuring 69½" x 46". Screenprinted with scene of numerous figures involved in the picking crushing and pressing of the grapes for wine against a mille fleurs background. Lots of great character detail faithfully copied from the original. With an annotated label to the rear and fitted with brass hooks along the top edge for hanging. Excellent condition.
