Georgian Cellarette c.1800

George III mahogany cellarette or wine cooler c.1800. Of tapering octagonal form with a useful flat-top opening to reveal the original metal lined interior with dividers for six bottles around a central well used for ice. Brass bindings around the lid and body, and folding carry handles at the sides. Moulded edge around the base and raised on four tapering legs with quality brass castors. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
