Painting of Golden Pheasants Dated 1897

Very attractive painting in oil on canvas of a pair of Golden Pheasants dated 1897. A splendidly colourful cock pheasant and its mate depicted amongst exotic plants and palms. Painted in oils in a slightly naive style. Signed Y. de Denterghem and dated 1897 in the lower right hand corner. Presented in a decorative gilded wooden frame with moulded gesso detail and topped with a carved ribbon bow. Damage to the canvas midway up the right hand side with old reinforcing at the rear. Otherwise good condition.
