French Painted Marble Top Centre Table c.1930

French Louis XVI style marble top centre or dining table c.1930. Spectacular marble table top with rounded ends and a thumb moulded edge. On a distressed painted pine base with a straight apron and tapering, turned and fluted legs. Original pale duck egg blue paint with the mouldings and flutes highlighted in gold. With a crack across the marble, repaired and well disguised in the figuring and reinforced with wooden bearers on the underside. Obvious old wear to the paintwork, otherwise excellent condition, solid and sturdy, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
