'La Fourmi' Terracotta Figure of a Woman Sewing c.1890

Large terracotta figure of a woman sewing after Jean-Jules Cambos (1828 -1917) c.1890. Full length of a young woman sat stitching an embroidered collar or similar (note the thimble on her finger). Superb detail to the costume and hair. Titled on the base 'La Fourmi' and signed in the clay. Presented as found, with some marks and very small chips from the base.
