Brass Mounted Marble Top Centre Table c.1870

Exceptional quality brass mounted rosewood and marble top oval centre table c.1870. Original serpentine shaped white marble top with a deep moulded edge. Rosewood base with a single drawer in both of the longer sides. Of sinuous form with a shaped and moulded apron and legs. Quality brass mounts to the top of each leg and extensive brass bead mouldings accentuating the design. Scrolling acanthus carved detail to the feet which continues onto the unusually arranged stretchers, joined with a large central boss with segmented underside and featuring a large brass mount to the top. Raised on the original castors. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
