Arts & Crafts Oak Bookcase & Side Cabinet c.1910

Unusual English oak side cabinet display and bookshelves c.1910. Raised and shaped back with a moulded cornice at the centre and reeded uprights at ends. Over a single door cabinet with lovely Arts & Crafts style leaded glass panel, fitted inside with three shelves (depth 9½") and with a single drawer below. Flanked on both sides with open bookshelves fitted with three shelves (depth 10"), the top shelves being fixed whilst the lower two are adjustable. Shaped detail to the sides and apron. Raised on short Queen Anne style legs with a carved scallop detail to the front, joined with turned stretchers. Superior quality, in solid oak, 'quarter sawn' to reveal the medullary rays in the timber. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
