Very large framed needlepoint tapestry panel c.1970. Embroidered wool onto canvas tapestry of a wooded landscape with plants and exotic birds in the foreground and a castle in the distance. With a patterned border around the edge. Presented on a wooden stretcher with board backing in a good quality decorative frame with metal cross braces for strength. Stamped Tapisserie main (handmade tapestry) Royal Paris on the edge of the canvas. Excellent condition.
