Narrow Welsh Oak Cupboard c.1780
Useful little George III Welsh oak cupboard c.1780. Unusual narrow dimensions, just 28" wide at the cornice. Built in two sections with a single door cupboard top fitted with two shelves inside (internal depth 17") over the base with single drawer over a cupboard with a single shelf inside. Simple country design with a moulded cornice over flat panel doors and sides. Brass knobs, handles and escutcheons. Pegged joints and thick oak drawer linings and back boards. Note the rather agricultural old repairs to the rear using tin recycled from cigarette boxes! Very good condition and lovely colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied for both cupboards.
