Art Deco Elephant Sculpture by Irene Rochard c.1930.
Delightful Art Deco era sculpture of elephants after the French sculptor Irene Rochard (1906 – 1984) c.1930. An adult elephant with large tusks followed by a playful juvenile. Beautifully cast in spelter with a bronze verdigris finish. On a thick black slate plinth signed for Rochard on one corner. Excellent condition.
