Mediterranean Scene Oil Painting c.1960

Attractive mid 20th.c. oil on canvas of a Mediterranean harbour, Southern Italy perhaps, c.1960. In the heat of the day three small fishing boats are tied up beside a stone key, with pantiled roof houses behind. In the distance sailboats cross the pale blue water with low hills beyond. Painted a loose, immediate style in thick oils with particularly nice treatment of the reflections on the water. Some crackling to the paint. Otherwise good condition, presented unframed on a wooden stretcher.
