Gothic Oak Lectern c.1910
Splendid Gothic revival lectern in solid oak c.1910. Sloping lectern top (18½" x 16½") with a raised ledge at the bottom. Carved tracery detail the sides and front which also features the overlaid letters IHS to symbolise the name of Jesus. Over a a chamfered square column with shaped stops and lovely trefoil pierced brackets where it joins the top. Heavy crossed base with pitched gables featuring a simple Gothic arch carved detail to the front of each. Raised on a chamfered plinth. Original brass presentation plaque to the underside dated 1910. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
