Long Oak Potboard Dresser Base c.1810

Late Georgian oak Welsh potboard dresser base, South Wales c.1810. Impressive size, at 80" it is a little longer than is common. Solid oak top made from two boards with rounded edges and an applied moulding to the underside. Over five large drawers arranged around a raised arch at the centre of the apron. Cockbeaded drawer fronts with large turned and ebonised knobs. Raised on crisply turned front legs over an open potboard display shelf with oak boards and turned feet below. Oak panelled sides, deal backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
