Long Oak Dresser Base c.1810
Unusually long early 19th.c. oak dresser base or sideboard c.1810. Very nearly seven and a half feet in length. Two plank top with an applied moulded edge. Over six drawers of graduated height arranged around a central two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside. Oak drawer fronts with mahogany crossbanded and cockbeaded edges, inlaid ebony escutcheons and brass swan neck handles. Raised and fielded door panels with moulded surrounds. Raised on a moulded plinth. Good condition with some previous repairs and restorations. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Cupboard key supplied.
