Carved Walnut Cabinet on Stand c.1930

Extraordinary Italian renaissance style carved walnut cabinet on stand c.1930. Inch-thick red marble top over two drawers and a two door cupboard with an open display shelf below. Superb quality carving to the front, featuring lion's masks and scrolling foliage to the door and drawer fronts, male and female caryatids and a splendid pair of ferocious looking winged grotesque beasts. Original brass handles, also decorated with lions. Fluted column front legs, moulded panelled back to the open shelf. Panelled sides to the cabinet, open at the base. Deep moulded plinth raised on turned bun feet. Oak drawer lining and back panels. Excellent condition and attractive pale colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
