Long 18th.c. Oak Dresser Base c.1740
Fabulous mid 18th.c. oak dresser base c.1740. 80" in length. Two plank top with a simple moulded edge over three large drawers with fielded drawer fronts and brass knobs. Unusually deep shaped apron below each drawer with lovely carved and pierced scroll details. Raised on four turned front legs joined to the simple square rear stiles with an open potboard display shelf with the original oak boards. Oak sides with an ogee arch bottom edge. Heavy oak drawer linings and backboard. Good early timbers of particularly good colour and patina. Some obvious old wear and repairs. Otherwise excellent condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
