Louis XV Style Marquetry Commode c.1960

Good sized French Louis XV style marquetry inlaid commode c.1960. Highly figured marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge. Over a bombe shaped chest of two large drawers. Symmetrically arranged tulip and kingwood veneers inlaid in contrasting woods on the drawer fronts and cabinet sides with decorative marquetry work designs of plants and flowers. Large brass handles and escutcheons and brass mounts to the corners continuing worn to the front feet. Shaped apron to the front and sides with another large pierced brass mount at the centre. Oak drawer linings and back panel. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
