Tall Overmantle Mirror c.1890

Beautiful late 19th.c. overmantle mirror or pier glass c.1890. 33" x 59" mirror plate with a shaped top. With a broad moulded frame with gilded and faux rosewood finish. Topped with a beautiful gilded gesso frieze featuring a bird on a nest with eggs amongst grass and ferns with curving bull rushes to each side. Excellent condition with a few minor spots of tarnish to the mirror.
