Rococo Gilded Girandole Mirror c.1870

Late 19th.c. Rococo revival girandole wall mirror c.1870. 15½" x 23½" oval mirror plate within an elaborate carved and gilded wood and gesso frame with scrolling foliate decoration. With four candle holders on shapely curving branches to the bottom edge. Original gilding with some obvious wear in places and some minor damage to the gesso toward the top of the frame. Note the right hand candle holder is unfortunately bent rather out of shape.
