Small Marble Top Commode c.1790

Unusual little late 18th.c. French cherry wood and marble top commode c.1790. Useful small size, just 29" wide. Original inch-thick marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge. Over two drawers with serpentine drawer fronts, large decorative brass handles and attractive lining fabric inside. Unusually shaped front stiles, curving sides and a shaped apron to the bottom edge. Raised on curving legs with scroll carved feet. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
