Small Mahogany Chest of Drawers c.1860

Small mid 19th.c. French mahogany commode or chest of drawers c.1860. Useful small size, just 39" wide and 16" deep. Top with flame mahogany veneers arranged in a quartered symmetrical pattern, thumb moulded edge and canted corners. Over four oak lined drawers with particularly attractive flame mahogany veneers, again arranged symmetrically, brass swan neck handles and shield shaped escutcheons. Canted corners to the front of the cabinet, also continued on the plinth. Wear to the finish on the top and to the veneer on the left hand side of the cabinet. Otherwise good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
